Maddy put an O in front of her name.
Gulfport, 1989.

A Gulfport kid, an Irish pub idea, and one extra letter.
Maddy grew up in Gulfport. In 1989 she wanted to open an Irish pub, so she did the simplest thing she could think of: she put an O in front of her own name and went into business.
The corner on Shore Blvd wasn’t new to her. The lot had been in her family for years. One side of the building used to be a snack bar, and a gas station sat on the corner.
Maddy still owns the place. Joe runs it with her as general manager. More than thirty-five years on, it’s still what it set out to be: a friendly neighborhood hang-out across the street from the pier, where the people on the menu are the people in the room.

Come as you are.
That’s the whole philosophy, and it’s printed on the menu. We want this to be a fun place to land: good food, creative daily specials, generous portions at a fair price, people who look after you, and a view that lets you relax and unwind.
Every dish on the menu is named for one of us.

Upstairs, since 2022.
The city approved a second floor in 2022. Now there’s a covered deck over the bay.
